Maria Salvadó, scientific prize winner in International Symposium on ALS/MND 2014

The 5, 6 and 7 of December took place in Brussels the 25º International Symposium on ALS/MND.  The symposium this year atracted over 800 delegates, it was the largest medical and scientific conference specific to MND (Motor Neuron Disease) and the premier event in the MND research calendar for discussion on the latest advances in research and clinical management.
 
Our research team in Peripheral Nervous System of VHIR submitted a work in association with Biochemistry and Molecular Biology Unit of Medical School (University of Barcelona- IDIBAPS). This work, like a poster comunication aimed to present the results about the function of CX3CR1 gene as modifier progression factor of symptoms and the survival in some forms of ALS.
 
Maria Salvado, neurologist and researcher of Dr Gamez's Team, presented this work in the symposium and she won the Scientific Poster Prize that the MNDA awarded to researchers under 35 years.
